Innovative Efforts in Spreading the Knowledge of the Qur'an Interpretation in Brunei Darussalam

Abstract
The study of knowledge always requires a form of innovation in its delivery and dissemination. This is no exception in the field of Islamic studies, especially the study of Tafsir al-Qur’an. This article describes the efforts of Brunei Darussalam in disseminating knowledge related to the Qur’an and its interpretation that has gone through several progressive phases. Although the effort can be said to be slow compared to other countries, but in terms of the size of Brunei and the small population, innovative and creative ideas in the study of Tafsir al-Qur’an are implemented. Historical analysis is used in this study and is discussed descriptively and comparatively in explaining the history and innovative efforts gradually in the study of the Qur’an and Tafsir in Brunei. The study found that Brunei is actively working to increase the idea of innovation and creativity in several services to knowledge related to the Qur’an
